MAY 22ND, 1933-This week was the 89th anniversary of the 1933 tornado that hit Liberal. Dad told me that King Kong was the movie at the theater and it looked like King Kong went through town.The picture is one of the Boggs Sweet Feed Mill that was destroyed by the tornado.
